Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel & Mexican Charm

We have been here three times and going back for our fourth time for New Years Eve this year. The staff have always been remarkable especially Roberto. The food is not amazing but is good the beds are super comfortable and we love the pool and the beach only a quick five minute walk away or there is a shuttle

The hotel is small and quiet but nice. The employees are very kind and helpful. The room was decent with a few small issues like no handle on our slider and the drain in the shower was broken. The food at the buffet was decent but the restaurant food was great. The only caviat is you have to take a trolley to the beach but it is a short ride.

Beautiful place. Super clean. A smaller version of the big resorts. Delicious food--again, not a huge selection but enough to make you want to come back for more. Friendly staff. Beach is three small blocks away, but shuttle takes you upon request. They even have a bar with delicious ceviche and snacks waiting for you. Super quiet by 10pm.

Overall good experience at this hotel for 7days all-inclusive stay. It is an older hotel with a mexican vibe geared towards family. They cater to lots of local guests as well as foreigners. And hence, staffs dont speak good english. However, they are all hard working and friendly. When we checked in, our room had a strong odor so we requested to change for a room in 2nd floor. Rooms are definitely outdated but spacious. Especially bathroom shower tiles desperately needs an upgrade. Air conditioning worked well during our entire stay and the room was clean. Food was okay but not great. If you are looking for a high end experience this hotel is not for you.

We had an amazing stay at Hacienda Buenaventura in Puerto Vallarta! The resort is beautiful, with a charming traditional Mexican style that feels welcoming and authentic. The grounds are well-kept, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the location is perfect for enjoying both the pool and the beach. A very special thank you goes to Alfonso, our server in the restaurant and David in the bar. They went above and beyond every day, always greeting us with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed. Their service was outstanding and truly made our dining experience memorable. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend Hacienda Buenaventura to anyone looking for a wonderful vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel & "Mexican Charm" As the name suggests, this hotel primarily caters to Mexican clientele. The property boasts charming aesthetics, well-maintained grounds, and exceptionally friendly staff. Buffet presentations are consistently appealing. When reserving accommodations, we highly recommend selecting a superior room with a garden view. Please note that the hotel does not have elevators, and one section comprises four floors. The hotel is conveniently located near the cruise ship terminal, with the Malecon accessible via a 15-minute Uber ride. A larger shopping mall is within walking distance towards the downtown area. While a pleasant establishment overall, its distance from the town center was not ideal for our preferences. The beach is a short walk via a back road, offering seating and basic bar service, though restroom facilities are not available at this location. Guests must return to the hotel for restroom access. In summary, while a pleasant experience, we would likely explore other options for future stays.

Decent all inclusive resort. It's about a half hour bus ride from Centro and is close to a grocery store and restaurants. The a la carte restaurant has good food and the buffet options are decent.

Older hotel, clean bright rooms, nice Mexican vibes and very friendly staff. Mirriam, Alfonso, Reyna and Alfredo all from the buffet restaurant goes out and beyond. Close walk to Walmart and 2 other malls
